I went to Guatemala in 2012 for the first time and met some incredible people that impacted my life forever! My second trip was in 2014, and I’m very excited that God is calling me to go back this 2018!
A group of wonderful women and I will be traveling to Guatemala in January of 2018. The purpose of our trip is to build relationships with the women in a Rural Mayan Community, share culture, passions, struggles… and together gather ideas on how we can flourish to be who God intend us to be!
If you know me well, you know I have a few passions like: Sharing Jesus. Empowering People. Brainstorming Ideas. Encouraging Others. Helping People Explore Their Gifts and Abilities, etc. In Guatemala we will be doing just that, and more!
The total cost of the trip is $1,800 and covers transportation, lodging, administrative, and ministry expenses.
I usually don’t like asking friends and family for money, I just don’t. Truth is, I need people to partner with me and help me cover at least half of the cost. In other words, I need your financial help!
Guatemala is a beautiful country with breathtaking views, and although we will enjoy the scenery this is not a site seeing vacation but a hands-on trip with a long-term purpose.
To partner with me means you will be partnering with God in doing what He has called us to do:
GO! And if you can’t go, then SEND!
Your donation will contribute towards the purchase of sewing machines and sewing materials. We will help the Mayan women incorporate sewing into their already beautiful tapestry creations. The vision is for them to then sell their creations to support their own families.
What we have in mind is a long-term intentional relationship, in which we walk with these woman and identify ways we can help them use their creativity and abilities to support their own families.
And of course this is a faith-based goal. To impact souls for eternity!
